The Surgeon

James Bellringer was born in 1958, and educated at King's College School Wimbledon, Pembroke College Cambridge, and St Thomas' Hospital Medical School in London. After qualifying in 1982, he embarked on Surgical and Urological training. Following time at the Institute of Urology, he was appointed a Consultant Urological Surgeon in 1995. In 1999, he was invited to train in Gender Reassignment Surgery, and received training from Mr. Michael Royle. He currently performs in the region of 65 reassignment operations each year.

Away from work, he is married with 3 children. He is active sportsman, who continues to play rugby, and cycles to work each day.
